The 43rd IMI Annual Conference will be held at the Crewe Hall Hotel, which is an impressive stately home with ultra-modern conference facilities. This grade I listed building has leisure and spa facilities, plentiful car parking and is situated just off of the M6. Crewe train station is approximately 2 miles away and Manchester and Liverpool airports are within easy reach.
The conference theme; “Fit for the Future”, challenges the development of our roles, and skills in an ever changing healthcare environment. You are invited to share your ideas, experiences and research that contribute to the future of our profession. This may be through a presentation in the scientific programme, or through a workshop. The scientific programme will be timetabled for Thursday and Saturday. Friday will feature a full day of workshops and the trade exhibition. If you have never spoken at an IMI conference you are invited to present a short presentation in the ‘New Voices’ session on Thursday.
Call for papers
You are invited to present your original papers by lecture.
Are you involved in area of innovation or research? Have you recently reviewed your clinical, professional or management practice and considered its contribution to the patients care pathway and the wider healthcare community? It may be that you are working closely with other healthcare colleagues who may wish to co-present.

Workshops and Seminars
You are invited, either as a professional lead, a management specialist, a clinical practitioner, or a trade education specialist, to deliver a workshop that allows delegates to share best practice and have some hands on exposure to new techniques and equipment

Trade Exhibitors
Trade exhibition space at the Crewe Hall Hotel will be provided within the Continental Suite on Friday 24th September. There will be a dedicated trade session in the morning with workshops linked to the trade themes.
Trade exhibitors from the IMI 2009 Conference in Cumbernauld who book for the 2010 conference, will receive a 25% discount.

Social Programme
This year’s lively programme will take full advantage of the historic and modern facilities at the hotel. Expect something exciting and prepare to be entertained! The Annual Banquet will take place on the Friday evening and during this formal event, the IMI gold and platinum awards will be presented along with other IMI distinctions.
