Accredited University Courses

Successful completion of any of the following courses qualifies for full professional membership of our Institute:

• The BSc (Hons) in Clinical Photography is run by Westminster University
• The Graduate and Postgraduate certificates in Clinical Photography or Graphic Design for Healthcare are run by Staffordshire University
• The Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Illustration is run by Cardiff University
• The MSc in Medical or Forensic Art is run by the University of Dundee
• The MSc In Medical Visualisation and Human Anatomy is run by the Digital Design Studio, Glasgow School of Art
• The Postgraduate Programme in Medical Art is run by the Medical Artists' Education Trust and leads to Membership of the MAA
• The MA in Medical and Biological Illustration is run by the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, USA

You can apply for professional membership without one of our accredited qualifications if you have a recognised media qualification, a minimum of 5 years experience and are currently working as a medical illustrator. You will need to submit your CV and a CPD portfolio to prove your development throughout your career. Full details can be found from the link on the right.
