The Institute’s Certificate of Competence is now open for applications. Professional membership of IMI is open to anyone who has one of the Institute’s accredited qualifications and these same qualifications are accepted by the Academy for Healthcare Science for entry to its register as a medical Illustrator. For those who do not have one of these qualifications, IMI’s advice continues to be to enrol on one of the courses listed here. However, that’s not possible for everyone, so the Institute has developed a Certificate of Competence for those who can demonstrate that they have acquired equivalent knowledge and skills. Applications can be made here. This Certificate will be accepted by the AHCS as evidence of equivalence for the purpose of registration. For further advice on the Certificate of Competence, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note the application deadline for the first assessment is 10 November 2017.
