Most of the IMI National Guidelines have specific bibliographies that should be referred to; however, it was thought that a short list of general titles would be useful for undergraduates and post-graduates alike.
This list is not, in any way, definitive. It is intended to cover as wide an area as possible within about twenty volumes; these recommended titles will provide more references and further reading if required.
The manager of a Medical Illustration Department may consider obtaining copies for reference within the department, especially if they employ Trainee Clinical Photographers.
Editions, new or second-hand, were available through Amazon.co.uk at the time of compiling this list and the link is included.
