The 2013 IMI conference will be held from 4-5 October 2013 at the Leicester Marriott Hotel
Leicester is an ancient city with a proud history stretching back over 2,000 years. Today, it offers a special blend of ancient and modern that makes it an exciting and attractive place to visit and explore. Leicester’s sheer diversity is one of the many things that makes the city so interesting and vibrant.
Places to visit include the newly opened Richard III Exhibition in Leicester’s Guildhall, the Jewry Wall Museum which is on the site of Roman Leicester’s public baths, the National Space Centre and many others. Leicestershire and Rutland have some beautiful countryside including Bradgate Park (home of Lady Jane Grey the 9 Day Queen) or Rutland Water to name but two. There is an enormous range of places to visit and things to do which will appeal to young and old. Whether you want to spend your time delving into Leicester’s past, exploring the wide range of shops and restaurants, enjoying a night out at the theatre or cinema or enjoying the countryside there is something for everyone.
Leicester is in the very centre of England and is easy to reach. Our conference hotel sits on the junction of the M1 and M69 making travel by road very simple. For those using public transport the hotel is a 4 mile cab ride from Leicester train station and it can be easily reached from East Midlands, Birmingham and Luton airports.
Your conference team is busy preparing an exciting programme of papers, workshops and a master class along with a revamped trade exhibition plus evening entertainment. We hope you will come and be inspired by a series of valuable educational experiences, the opportunity to see the latest in technology, equipment and software along with the chance to network with old friends and to make new friends.
