*NEW for 2012* Poster Exhibition

Call for submissions

This year, for the first time, the IMI conference will include a poster exhibition to showcase research activities and new developments in our profession, and to share best practice with conference delegates. As medical illustrators we routinely produce scientific and promotional posters for our healthcare colleagues, however, there is little opportunity for us to share our own work in this format. Now is your chance!

Submitting a poster abstract

We are looking for posters on any topic that you feel of relevance. This could be a new photography, video or graphic technique used to record or illustrate a specific condition. Perhaps you have been using your skills in an innovative way? If so, please submit your abstract, which should include a Title, Background, Method/Technique and Summary to: stephen.palmer@aaaht.scot.nhs.uk. Abstracts should be no longer than 400 words. Final posters will be A1 vertical.

This is a great first step in contributing to the conference, and a successful submission can often help secure funding for attendance, and it will count towards your CPD activity. The author of the best poster, in terms of content (80%) and design (20%), will be awarded at the drinks reception on Friday evening.
