Medical Photographer, Band 5
Mid Essex Hospitals, Chelmsford, Essex
We require an experienced clinical photographer to join our team. The department is a busy unit photographing approximately 9000 patients per year across a wide range of departments.
Candidates should be on the Accredited Register as part of the new AHCS system and possess the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Illustration, Westminster BSc in Clinical Photography, equivalent qualification or be working towards these qualifications.
Principle duties will be clinical photography for various specialties including Burns, Plastic Surgery, Dermatology and Tissue Viability. Experience of filming and editing video in a medical environment would be highly desirable as the department has recently established a small but increasing video service offering clinical video as well as non clinical productions. Experience of Ophthalmic photography would also be desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, conscientious and be able to work independently as well as part of a wider team. You will have sufficient computer skills and be familiar with Photoshop, Image Databases and editing programs both on Mac and PC.
As you will be expected to work closely with medical and support staff, good communication skills are essential.
