the Institute

Fellowship of the Institute recognises excellent abilities and skills and is its highest distinction of the Institute. Applications may be made by Members of the Institute with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience.

GMC Consultation: Guidance on Research and Visual and Audio recordings

Consultation on revised guidance to doctors on research, and making and using audio and visual recordings of patients

Your views are invited on three pieces of draft supplementary guidance for doctors. These are: Good practice in research, Consent to research and of most interest to us, Making and using visual and audio recordings of patients.

You can read the drafts of the guidance and take part in the consultation online at the address below. Paper copies and alternative formats are available on request (phone 020 7189 5404 or email standards.consult@gmc-uk.org).

The consultation will run until 25 September 2009.
