Apply HereFor those engaged in medical illustration and who hold a professional qualification approved by Council. Professional Members are entitled to use the letters MIMI after their name.

Apply HereFellowship of the Institute recognises excellent abilities and skills and is its highest distinction of the Institute. Applications may be made by Members of the Institute with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
Apply HereThe IMI subscription year runs from April 1st to March 31st and there are several ways to pay your subscription. Reminders will be sent out to all members in February by email, so please ensure that your email details are correctly listed in the members directory.
Direct Debit - the easiest way to pay is by setting up a direct debit to spread your payments over the year. If you have already set up a direct debit, you need do nothing more, but if you wish to set one up for the first time, please download the direct debit form and return the completed mandate to the address on the form.
Please leave the reference field on the form blank, as we will fill this in.

We are also happy to accept direct debit instructions for annual or quarterly payments. Please contact the membership secretary if you would like to take this option.
If you prefer to pay your annual subscription in one go, there are several methods listed below.
The current annual fees are: Members, Associates and Fellows - £98, Students, Retired and 1st year graduates - £58, 2nd year graduates - £78 and Corporate members - £228.
Online - You can pay by debit or credit card through our secure online PayPal system. Just go to "My Account" on the members page and then select "Payments". The amount owing will then be shown in your account.
Cheque or Phone - You can send a cheque to Geoff Gilbert, our Treasurer, at 14 Middle Avenue, Carlton, Nottingham, NG4 1PG, or you can pay over the phone by card by ringing Geoff on 0115 987 1468.
Invoice - If you would prefer an invoice to be raised against your hospital or business, please send an official purchase order to Geoff Gilbert by email to treasurer@imi.org.uk or by post to the address above.
