A guidance document called ‘HR and social media in the NHS’ has been published by the NHS Employers organisation as they hope to promote social media in order to make the health service more effective. The report discusses what elements of social media can support high quality care for patients. With social media’s help, patients can be better equipped to find good information online.

Entries extended to April 14th 2013 - Submissions to the 2013 Images for Science exhibition are open to everyone including scientific photographers, researchers, engineers, technologists and scientists from all over the world. Images are welcome from all areas in which photography plays an important role, for example, medicine, forensic sciences, engineering, research, archaeology, oceanography, natural history, astronomy, aviation, microscopy, endoscopy; in fact in every single discipline of science.
