Well there goes the 44th IMI Conference and I'm sure I can speak for all delegates when I congratulate Jerry Nayler and his team on producing an informative and well balanced programme. I confess that I was very pleasantly surprised by the number of delegates who were able to get to Cheshunt and it was good to chat to both old friends and newer student members.

Following the recent recommendation that IMI members should write to their MP's regarding the government's stance on regulation, we are publishing what appears to be the standard response from the Department of Health. The letter is from Anne Milton, the minister responsible for policy on regulation.

Two IMI student members on the BSc (Hons) Clinical Photography course at the University of Westminster have been awarded prizes of £500 each for achieving exceptionally high marks.

An invitation to review a set of guidance materials around 'making and using clinical and healthcare recordings for learning and teaching'. The materials have been developed by a collaboration of cross-sector organisations and individuals (including the GMC, Wellcome Trust, Institute of Medical Illustrators, MEDEV and individual practitioners).
