The Academy for Healthcare Science have published their report on their August 2016 medical illustration standards consultation. The publication follows a preliminary report by AHCS Registrar, Kerry Tinkler, as part of a joint presentation by AHCS and CAMIP at the 2016 IMI Annual Conference in September.

IMI and CAMIP have been working with the Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS) to develop a part of its accredited AHCS register for medical illustrators. This work is nearing completion and some draft Standards of Proficiency have been developed. These are very generic in nature and are subject to a public consultation. You are encouraged to view the Standards and participate in the AHCS’s online questionnaire on the Academy’s website
