Successful completion of any of these courses qualifies for full professional membership of IMI:

• The Graduate and Postgraduate certificates in Clinical Photography or Graphic Design for Healthcare are run by Staffordshire University
• The Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Photography is run by Cardiff University
• The MSc in Medical Art is run by the University of Dundee
• The MSc in Forensic Art and Facial Identification is run by the University of Dundee
• The MSc In Medical Visualisation and Human Anatomy is jointly offered by The School of Simulation and Visualisation at The Glasgow School of Art and the School of Life Sciences at Glasgow University. View a video about the course.
• The Postgraduate Programme in Medical Art is run by the Medical Artists’ Education Trust and leads to Membership of the MAA
• The MA in Medical and Biological Illustration is run by the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, USA

The following qualifications, which are no longer running, also qualify for full professional membership:

• The BSc (Hons) in Clinical Photography previously offeredby Westminster University
• The PgCert in Medical Illustration previously offered by Cardiff University
• The MSc in Medical Illustration previously offered by the University of Wales
• The IIP/BIPP Medical Basic, Higher, Conjoint or Qualifying examinations

•  The IMI/GCU BSc Conversion previously offered by Glasgow Caledonian University
