Welcome to our new Student Representative

Hello, my name is Mălina, and I am honored to serve as the IMI Student Representative for the February 2025 – January 2027 period. My professional journey has led me to a fulfilling role as a Clinical Photographer within the NHS. Upon graduating from BA Media Production in 2022 from the University of Sussex, I joined the NHS as a dermatology reception & booking clerk where I discovered clinical photography.  Shortly after, I was employed as a Trainee Clinical Photographer for the University Hospitals Sussex. It’s a privilege to be a part of both the photography and healthcare communities.

As Student Representative, I aim to expand the student network, create more opportunities for knowledge-sharing, and make IMI a welcoming space where students feel encouraged to get involved. One of my key priorities is ensuring that students fully understand the value of their IMI membership and feel supported throughout their course. I also wish to provide a clearer guidance on how students can transition into a professional membership upon completing their studies.
