Legal and Ethical

Medical Illustrators work in a field where the highest standards are essential to protect patients at a time when they may be especially vulnerable. All IMI members are required to abide by their Code of Professional Conduct (link) and for those medical illustrators who work with patients registration with the AHCS (link) is strongly recommended.

These pages are intended as a resource for all Medical Illustrators, and others interested in this field, to use within their professional practice. They will develop in time to include a wide range of information and, where appropriate, case studies and media reports.
