The AHCS President serves as the chief professional representative and leader of the Professional Bodies Council, championing Healthcare Science and driving strategic initiatives. They are responsible for articulating and representing the collective views of the AHCS to government, stakeholders, and media while ensuring a commitment to equality and diversity. The President builds consensus across specialties, maintains a strong media presence, and develops relationships with key stakeholders in healthcare organisations. Their duties include chairing Council meetings, attending Board meetings as an observer, and connecting with Healthcare Science students. Through these activities, the President works to maintain and enhance the AHCS’s profile and reputation, collaborating with Vice Presidents to ensure a four-country perspective on relevant issues.
